Overview

Headquartered in La Jolla, California, National University is the second-largest, private, nonprofit institution of higher learning in California with over 22,000 full-time students and more than 113,000 alumni.
Students can earn an Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Specialist degree. The university offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as 16 teacher credential and certificate programs.
A leader in online education, National University offers more than 50 graduate and undergraduate degree programs and over 1,200 courses online.

History

Founded in 1971, National University is the flagship institution of the National University System, which was established in 2001 to meet the emerging demands for education in the 21st century. In addition to National University, the affiliates of the National University System are the National Polytechnic College of Science, Spectrum Pacific Learning Company LLC, National University Virtual High School, WestMed College, the National University Academy of Health Sciences, and National University International.

Academics

National University is comprised of five schools and one college which include: The School of Business and Management; The School of Education; The School of Engineering and Technology; The School of Health and Human Services; The School of Media and Communication; and The College of Arts and Sciences.

School of Business and Management:

Campuses

National University has 28 regional campuses in California and one in Nevada. The University also has Learning Centers located on military bases throughout Southern California.
