Based in Denver, Colorado, Regis University is a private, co-educational Roman Catholic university. Regis University educates students to take leadership roles and make a positive impact in society. The university is comprised of three colleges: Regis College, the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions and the College for Professional Studies. Regis University’s predecessor was established in Las Vegas, New Mexico by a group of exiled Italian Jesuits. In 1884, the Bishop of Denver invited the Jesuits to move the school to nearby Morrison where it was opened as Sacred Heart College. In 1887, the school moved again to its present location in Denver. In 1921, the school adopted the name of Regis College in honor of Saint John Francis Regis, a 17th century Jesuit. In 1991, it was renamed Regis University with three schools: the original known as Regis College, the College for Professional Studies, and the College for Health Professions.

Regis University has several campuses throughout the state of Colorado. The main campus is located in Denver. Other sites include: Aurora, Longmont, Colorado Springs, Denver Tech Center (Greenwood Village), Fort Collins and Interlocken at Broomfield. There are also two out-of-state campuses located in Summerlin and Henderson, Nevada.
At Regis University, students have the option of various financial aid options including scholarships, grants, and loans.
Scholarships are awarded based on the students’ academic performance, leadership potential or other talent. They may be federal, state, or institutional funds. Full-time enrollment is required for all scholarships. Competitive full tuition scholarships in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics are awarded to students who demonstrate high achievement on a subject exam. All scholarships are renewable for four years dependant on the student maintaining a strong GPA. Music scholarships are awarded following an audition process. Students interested in transferring to Regis College from another college or university may qualify for specific transfer scholarships.
Grants are awarded to students who show financial eligibility based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) results or who have met other criteria. These may be federal, state or institutional funds. Grants do not have to be repaid. Full-time enrollment is required for all grants except the Federal Pell Grant, which is pro-rated for less than full-time enrollment.
Student loans are an additional means to finance a college education. Loans must be repaid and include a variety of interest rates and repayment terms.
